Dear Del, The time of writing is not evidence of a testimony being false. In those days many used scribes to record their writings and writings of that level may take time, (they did not have computers or typewriters). <<I don't believe there is evidence of any of it written down as it occurred>> There are only feelings or belief on this so it is dependant on your heart. What is the advantage for a man to lie on record? <<. It seems kind of strange that nobody wrote down these important events as they happened>> Again no one knows this for all we have is the recorded date and this is not a personal account of the author. THe Catholic Church has kept many, many artifacts including pieces of the body of the Apostles and the Shrowd of Turin etc.. These items would not provide belief for a sceptic for the words of Jesus are more powerful and if they are not believed and denied to have existed then there is no help available from physical things. It comes down to faith. Hebrews 11:1-3 1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at Gods command, so that what is seen was not made out of what is visible. I can not see the wind but I know it is there by feeling and the evidence of changes around me. I don't force anything or say much, but I do not mind anyone saying they do not believe the Bible but to put effort in disproving it and making the testimony of men that are no longer here to be lies bothers me.
