Yes I've seen it before and it's a good one. I often wonder how much cold-calling goes on in conjunction with the internet hype we're all aware of.

Though perhaps we have a new twist on that. Reading the threads, it's come to my attention that when a hypester starts working a stock he apparently begins sending PMs and emails to contributors who show an interest in what he's saying. Probably this stuff--I've never received any, for obvious reasons--hints at important information that can't be divulged online, giving the recipient the impression that he's somehow "special".

Oh, and another warning sign: a CEO who strongly and insistently advises investors who call him to buy more stock.
