I called the Emerging Company tv show (on Saturday!) and actually spoke with the producer. he was very candid and open. The companies pay a cash fee to get on the program, like $8500. They do not accept stock in companies and he said they turn down 3 out of every five companies that contact them to get on.

I was surprised to hear the show has been on national tv for two years because I just found out about it a couple of months ago.

When I asked him to give me his opinion of mxnt, he said the show does not recommend companies or offer projections or tips. He told me to look at the Mission Statement at their web site, emergingcompany.com

I told him the mxnt link from their web site went to essentially a blank page and he promised they would look into it and post a different link

All in all, I felt the gentleman was very straightforward, didn't dodge any of my questions..we actually spoke for nearly 20 minutes.

IMO, I think this show is a great opportunity for companies to expose themselves without becoming part of some promo-hype deal
