Interesting points of what should be compared. As for mis-spellings, don't discount the upside down MRI. If this website is supposed to be acome-on to radiologists, the upside-downness of an MRI is a tad of a turn-off. Misspellings nd upsidedowness make the effort look a bit amateurish. That in fact is a part of my global complaint with Fonar. The poor responsiveness with regrd to requests for mailings, getting messages through the front phones and even the (IMO) rather unfriendly opertors are all a part of the "mystique" of Fonar. Now as to comparing apples to apples. There is not 0.6T open to compare to so we could end the discussion of comparisons right there. Still we make judgements by comparisons. Comparing open to open is justifiable if all you care about is open-ness. Some buyers would certainly feel that way. others would consider apples to apple only at the bottome line: show me images of $800K vs $800K machines. Fonar could well win that contest, but I don't think they have changed the T2 weighted images of the brain on the website, they only added T1-weighted images of the wrist and knee. Fine images indeed but it is easier to make a pretty T1-weighted image than a pretty T2-weighted image as I took exhaustive pains to discuss with th eFonar crowd when they came to Dallas for a visit. My real point was not that I can make better pictures with GE, Phillips Toshiba or Picker but that they (fonar) should be doll-ing up their site with the best pictures they can make. I think they have sold themselves short in this PR opportunity and my advice would be to fix the website. If I were in charge of PR, I would want control of the website.
