macker (Rick), as far as No.1 goes, Jack told me about Christensen issuing stock but said that they caught him and that if sold they will be pulled out of the float because they know the certificate numbers.
Obviously, number two is from number one. Not to imply that Christensen issuing shares was the only illegal thing he did.
Number 3, who cares if their technology is no better than anyone else's? That won't change the assests that they already have. We have to wait for Dunn to confirm what they do have. They do have some of the brightest geologists and oilmen on board, have you checked them out?
Number 4, what PR department? You mean Jack told us Stagg would be out soon? Don't you think he was just relaying what Stagg told him? (I know NOT having a PR dept. was a mistake and Jack is making that I priority, as far as I know).
Number 5, I agree it is a problem to not proofread PR's. I have let Jack know my feelings on that. I trust from now on that problem will be solved.
So, basically, you sold because of the following reasons right? 1. Christensen's illegal activities 2. Poor PR grammer/spelling quality 3. Change in engineering firms 4. Not having superior drilling technology
What about some reasons to HOLD? 1. Dunn reports coming out in a couple months to prove what MTEI currently has with their first 2600 acres. 2. Company is still pursuing acquisitions of additional properties. 3. Jack and Winston's oil/gas experience 4. Q Moore and Richard Hibbard's geology expertise/experience
In your post, Rick, you still go on to say that the company will be fine in the LT. I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE REASON WE BOUGHT THIS STOCK IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! If you believe that Jack and Co. are basically good honest men that know the oil business then why sell because of the 4 reasons above? Face it, you sold because you found out others sold AND you sold because the stock went down. If you were in for the LT like you said you were, I doubt any of the above mistakes would have had "sell" written on them.
If the Dunn reports come out ( I know it will be a whole 2 months) to show that we have at least $100M worth of assets, IMO anyone who didn't sell (me) and those who buy down here at .20 will be rewarded.
Rick, you couldn't stand the heat and that's the real reason you sold, right? Admit it. All the problems you addressed SHOULD be of ST nature and should be cleared up in a matter of months, not years, IMO.
It all boils down to this: 1. You were hyping MTEI big time 2. As soon as the price broke a buck, you were gone 3. You had no LT intentions with this stock, maybe subconsciously you did, but the fact is you sold just because the price went down (remember in the BB world that does happen, look at infe) 4. You have always had outrageous price targets, $5 for mtei, and if that acquisition happened with the big texas oil company $20 by end of summer, I think it was. And INFE was going to be $20 by Labor Day. Those targets were completely speculative and out of line. 5. You bascially came off as a know-it-all and then later after everything falls apart tell us you had no BB stock experience.
For all the above I blame myself for getting sucked in.
Rick, the reason for this mucho negative (and true) reply is because of this-WHY CAN'T YOU JUST ADMIT YOU WERE JUST AS NAIVE AS MOST OF US WERE? Just admit you made some mistakes and were wrong. I don't believe you tried to mislead us, but look how it turned out. Just admit you were had at least a small part to do with what happened to your stocks. After all, you were the "leader" and me and a lot of others turned to you.
Enough....
Steve (still a friend if you just admit you were a sheep that got led to slaughter just like everyone else who did not sell) |
