The situation with Qingsong Du will make it much more difficult for these offerings to be successful. You bring out an important point in Qingsong Du being a Communist Party member and subject to the policies of the Party - as he has likely benefited from the Party membership. It still comes as a surprise that a man as powerful in local politics, as he apparently is, would be treated in this way.
