A little insight on BOB Davis and his "ideals". These are tid-bits of info regarding Bob and his newsletter that "sparked" questions as to his purpose( Here). This is a long post for your Sunday evening leisure. By the way, I do not have a Harvard education such as Mr. Davis, nor do I even have a high school education. However at the age of thirty-five my two sons have the liberty of attending Harvard if they wish. And my trading success has rendered me unemployable. Now I may pursue my education, but quite frankly some of these educated gentlemen give me second thoughts.
>>>>>>> The Napeague Forum has already made it to the Top 100... and has been ranked as high as Number 81. And it did this while competing with various other more "sensational" forums..<<<<<<<<< "Bob, rumor has it your pumping your newsletter on various other " sensational forums". Is this true? Will you pump it to the top ten?" >>>>>>> Professional Experience: From 1987 to 1995, I was the Chief Financial Officer of Total Research Corporation (NASDAQ: TOTL). During this eight-year period the Company grew about 500%. In addition to the normal "green eyeshade" duties of this function, as CFO,...<<<<<<<<< " Rumor has it, (just a rumor ofcourse, and if you did I could care less), that you owned a substantial amount of shares and on about February you dumped your shares at or close to it' peak! Is this True?..Lets take a closer look shall we. If I, an unsophisticated investor purchased TOTL at around 5/8(about the beginning of '95) and several months later this stock has increased 250% (in a VERY short time) to well above the 2 5/8 level (where you conveniently got out and I got in), to later settle down to around lets say 5/8 ounce again several months latter (just BEFORE the first negative earnings report in 12 quarters), Have I been "scammed" or is this a "pump and dump". Is it your understanding that if this occurs to a company that is listed or reporting and has financial data available to investors it is not a scam or P&D? This stock Has recently made a nice run-up from about 2 to 4 3/8 back down to 2 1/2 all under 3 months..So if you got out above 4 you did well, however if you got in above 4 you've been scammed,Right? ".And one more thing, Must a company be listed or reporting to legitimately Glow.oops I mean Grow several hundred percent and gain investor interest? This is from your " The Nap Letter"...Gotta luv it! >>>>>>""To invest successfully over a lifetime does not require a stratospheric IQ, unusual business insights, or inside information. What's needed is a sound intellectual framework for making decisions, and the ability to keep emotions from corroding that framework." - Warren Buffett<<<<<<<<.. This man has the keen ability to get in when no one's interested and exits the gates in the midst of heavy buying leaving many investors "scammed"! " Wow! Mr. Davis, enlighten me. I have not yet seen you make any correlation's between Warren Buffet and a silver pump and dump scam. Can you talk him out of this "poor" investment decision. After all silver has gone South since all the "hype". How dare others may be influenced by his investment choices.Ah wait a minute, He did sell part of that silver at a profit..." classic pump & dump?"...Will you drill him with questions and consider his style inappropriate for the average investor because HE won't GIVE YOU the answers? Or will you shed your opinion and plaster it with your general disclaimer.... >>>>>>>NOTICE This analysis is based on publicly-available information, and is in no way warranted by me as to accuracy or completeness. I do not guarantee to advise you as to any change in this information...<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< " YOU NOW NEED NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR INACCURACIES. NOW THIS ONE REALLY GETS ME. >>>>Investing Track Record? Also, I make many investments which require a higher level of "diligence" and/or acceptance of risk - so I don't want to make my portfolio public because I would not necessarily recommend certain of these investments to anyone else, and certainly not without presenting the normal in-depth Napeague Analysis.<<<<<<< " NOW IF YOU COULD ONLY RESPECT THE RISK OTHERS ARE WILLING TO TAKE without labeling them and hiding behind your disclaimer".HYPOCRIT! .Did you buy some GLOW last week? Or is your maximum downside risk .15...Hmmm. >>>>>>>>>>Although my annualized returns have been satisfactory, I have decided not to publish them because I want my readers to focus on the investment process, and not on "Bob Davis - investment guru." In the words of that great American philosopher, Tina Turner, "We don't need another hero....."<<<<<<<< "WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER HERO"...My sentiments exactly!..These words are directly from your puny little newsletter! >>>>>>>>>The Blivit List is not the only voice raised against these programs, and it is certainly not the loudest. The Stock Detective has also been publishing information about these scams for some time, and has a more complete database.<<<<<<< "Now here's a reliable source for scams!!!!! Not only have they been publishing scam info for sometime but apparently have gotten first hand experience! Good to see you affiliated with them.(sarcasm!)Ouch! >>>>>>>>>>. After a disaster or two, including about a year of options trading in which early spectacular successes were followed by an equally spectacular series of failures, I began to rely on my business experience and training in fundamental financial analysis to identify small-cap stocks which were undervalued by the market. This approach has produced fairly strong returns over time.<<<<<<<<<< >>>>Education: ú Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration - MBA in finance, 1969 ú Rutgers University - BA in history, 1964 ú Supply Officer, United States Navy 1964-196....>>>>>>>>>>>> "With all the fine Harvard education I'm willing to bet they taught you little about The inherent risk AND leverage in regards to large profit POTENTIAL.(which is why many trade BB stocks in case you didn't know!) Judging by your options experience, all that discipline one would hope to acquire went clean out the window with that experience! Correct me if I'm wrong....Now I can better understand your bitterness to risky and non-informative "unorthodox" investments like GLOW.. You might have dropped history and taken psychology to better understand why people invest in these kinds of things. I'd just like to point out That VPRO from your Bilivtsz or whatever list is charting beautifully and appears to be basing at around .69! May be a good short- term play! Also another of your unsubstantiated scams CYFS spiked well above the Two dollar level and appears to be forming a higher base at 1 9/16. Although not Nasdaq companies They make a fun comparison with TOTL's past ten year history! See! It's all a matter of perception! It's truly a shame to lump companies in a "scam list" that truly have great potential and potentially damage a good stock by your opinion! Then again promoting a puny news letter using these methods is a numbers' game very much like trading BB stocks , isn't it?.... screw Harvard and your stupid questions!
