Peter: It's interesting to note the size reduction of 11% - not insignificant I think. The smaller the device, the greater applicability for the general population. One of the people I sat beside at the AGM told me they had also reduced the energy transferred through the TET from 40 watts down. I have haven't seen that reported anywhere yet, but that would also be important to reduce the possibility of tissue damage with continuous use of the device. Obviously battery technology will continue to improve as well, and it could be that by the time the device is commercialized a person could go for 4 or 5 hours on the internal battery.
