Dell is a great company, but pricing pressure will surely affect its bottom line as well, some may suggest Dell makes money on the high end and thus would only be slightly affected, but week after week, more goodies that used to be found only in high end PCs are appearing in the low end, now the low ends starts at 300 Mhz with all the bells and whistles for a grand, I remember paying huge premium for a Panasonic VCR that came with 4 heads, Hi Fi Stereo output, remote and on screen menu, they are now all standard features and under $199, and of course no one would care to buy these readily available commodity from mail catalog, Best Buy has one with all the above features for $149 in the paper today. I have always buy PCs at about $1200, my last one was a 166MMX, wonder what $1200 will bring this Christmas. Boxmakers are in for troubles, ponytail leading the way.
