Thanks for clearing that up Roy. That is still very interesting. Do you have an opinion on when the larger oems like cpq, sun, hp, ibm, etc. will be able to implement switches into a workable san? It is a bit confusing when sun put up web pages back in early spring, i believe, describing what they were going to do with intelligent storage (i still recall the url to a diagram at their site with a big honking FC switch in the middle). i take it sun and others haven't changed their minds on moving to the san, in general. like you say, patience with the san world i guess. cheers, pigboy
