Take a look at this chart of VRC.

bigcharts.com

If the link doesn't work, the chart goes back to 1985.

This chart is similar to many high tech companies. For 10 years from
1985 to 1995, the stock stayed flat in the $2 to $5 range. Then, in
1996 and 1997, it went from $5 to $35. As you know, it has since
dropped back to about $15.

How can a stock stay flat for so long and then go up 700% in two
years? I think many are looking at the current price of ~$15 and
thinking that "it has dropped by over 50%, how much lower can it go?"

What is the possibility that these tech stocks will go back to their
1985 to 1995 levels for a period of 10 years?

Best wishes,

I2
