Thanks for the info - if VGY is just prices like DOW then effectively the index is:

P = P1*P2*P3* .... *Pn

or:

lnP = lnP1 + lnP2 + .... + lnPn

The effect will be to increase the influence of low priced stocks. They have more influence in the SP 500 etc. only if they have a big capitalization. Here they have an influence anyway. It's certainly better than the straight Dow index.

But where do I get the data on VGY?
