D&G,

>>I didn't say "they control all portions of the internet", I asked if they had the RIGHT to control all portions of the internet by including everything in their operating system.<<

Whether they have the right or not is beside the point. I repeat...MSFT doesn't control all portions of the internet. Your question is moot. In any case, even if MSFT wanted to control the internet, they couldn't.

There is nothing preventing you, me or anyone else from downloading and installing Netscape's browser. Nothing.

What prevents Apple, Sun Microsystems, Netscape, et al, from writing an OS to compete with Windows? Nothing.

MSFT can hardly be blamed for its competitor's incompetence.

>>How many people will go through the trouble or even know how to configure others' products. This leads to an unfair market place. Think about it. DJF<<

So MSFT is to blame if a user doesn't know or doesn't care how to install Netscape browser? Give me a break. Unfair market place my butt. The only thing MSFT is guilty of is being a tough competitor.
