To those dreaming of 100 baggerville:

I don't know if TCBG "The Children's Beverage Group" will ever achieve 100 bags of gold but something is about to pop soon possibly giving a few bags.
TCBG has the patent for fruit beverage pouches containing straws built into the pouch. "RIP IT, SIP IT" is the logo.
Kraft/Capri Sun has had the monopoly for years on this packaging (push the straw thru the foil) until TCBG's laser score tear line to access the built in straw came out.
Currently TCBG is purchasing the machines (from Spain) to mass produce the pouches for the top 10 retailers (2 of 10 announced in the last few weeks) in the country. Wal Mart (Supercenters) and WinnDixie (large supermarket in the south) have signed on, TCBG states in a press release that 10 top retailers are interested in the packaging for their line of fruit juices, spring water, etc. Revenues forecasted for 98,99,00 are quite exciting. TCBG doesn't even manf the pouches. They have signed agreements with 2 major manf companies to produce, hence royalities, no overhead. One company is the largest in Canada and the other is a very large company in the US. See press releases.
Have you ever tried to unwrap the cellophane from the external straw glued to a juice pouch and then push hard to access the foil barrier? Then have the pouch accidentally fall over? Spillage! A youngster in preschool has these problems. TCBG is spill proof and a small child can tear easily along the laser score line to have the straw pop out.
All this news has happened in the last couple of weeks.
TCBG had a run up to $8 eight to twelve months ago but delays in machines and I believe the Kraft-TCBG patent decision (TCBG won) caused the stock to plummet. Now it's at about $1.75 ask. This is a BB stock and I usually don't even look at them, but this one looks to be promising. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.
See the following links. Remember, more press releases are forthcoming since only 2 of the 10 retailers demanding the product have been named.
Figure they are trying to bump the stock up for the preferred offerring(restricted 3 years from selling-per IR) to purchase more machines. I believe they currently lease about 6 and are trying to purchase a total of 10 by end of 1999. They cost $500K and take 45 days to build. They produce 120 asceptic pouches a minute (each machine). They are stepping up the machinery purchases due to demand, (soon to be released more company signings).
Look at the following links. No financials at the present, auditors to be announced at end of July with financials available to the public end of August. Very informative thread on SI.
I never would have felt right about investing in this company with no financials, but TCBG is the sponsor "Children's Beverage Group" with WalMart on Robbie Unser's CART (Indy 500 ) race car. Unfortunately he was one of about 6 drivers who met their fate with the wall at last week's Dover 200. Unser broke his foot probably keeping him out of this week's race. The cowling of the car after the wreck was face down so no advertising nationwide, yet.
