(Off Topic) My apology for police/firearms reference in the post
that this is a reply to: My frustration and indignation towards
the father of the man that shot dead two Capitol police officers,
because he did not have his handgun secured. For myself I take
extraordinary precautions to safeguard my firearms from misuse.
But every time a gun is used for violence, or in an accident, I am
one step closer to loosing my right to have a gun for personal
protection. One step closer for the USA to have the firearms laws
like those of Japan, Canada and Australia. I regret to say this,
but for those who want a total ban on guns, your day will arrive
sooner than you think. Just as the cigarette smokers 15 years ago
had near total access to smoking anywhere, and they did not want to
give an inch, no compromise, their absolute right to smoke ... today
the rights they have they couldn't have guess as an worst case, and
the other side won't rest until its a total ban...illegal to smoke.
The anti-gun people won't have to do much, the few gun owners that
will not keep arms in a gun safe or on their possission, these are
the ones that will be responsible for a future USA gun ban. To the
father that had his handgun taken by his son, the father wanted his
gun easily accessed incase it was needed quickly, I say that a small
handgun box, holds one gun, is available, and is accessable even in
the dark of night with an no-eye key pad quick open.
