Tim, and the Group...
Over last few months from time to time I have been getting anonymous email concerning Camelot (sometimes I feel like a spearhead, just throw it and stand back). Now knowing that this is anonymous, I cannot vouch for anything said here, but it may be a starting point for investors to research what is really happening with Digiphone sales, and hence profits (or probably losses). This post does dovetail nicely with what I have learned on my own (info that Tim dismisses out of hand, prefering to just HOPE instead of doing some digging), but... well you judge.

I really wish that this person would allow me to contact them directly, I am sure we could have an interesting conversation! They should know by now that I do NOT reveal my sources when they don't want to be revealed!!

The entire IPhone category has really cooled down since introduction a year ago. 2 Major North American channels dropped DigiPhone recently as a result of poor (almost nonexistent) sales. Two top retailers have DigiPhone on their endangered slow seller list and will be throwing the product out very soon.

Price was dropped to be competitive with leading sellers which are doing far better and control the price point.

As soon as DigiPhone offered 30 days of free Internet, Vocaltec offered 30 days of EarthLink AND a free CompuServe (or is it Prodigy?) account.

As I said, you judge, you do the research, and you be very careful when toying with the idea of investing in or holding CAML.

BTW Tim, I forgot to mention something in my last post to you I checked back and the store manager at one of the local Office Depots told me that they were closing out Digiphone Delux at the $29.95 price. It was, in fact, on their "clearance" table along with many other obscur software titles that no longer sell well (50 must have utilities for DOS...no I am making that up, just an analogy :-).

"When it is gone, it is gone" said she!!

Of course, you could HOPE that she was misinformed, right along with everyone else that says Digiphone sales are pretty bad. <G>

What is that Ostrichs do when they want to ignore reality?

Ok, OK I did say we should shelve this till the Q2 report became available, but the letter was so timely, I just couldn't resist!!
