OK, I won't argue all your other points. You and I may have 3 computers in the house, but there is a huge percentage of the population that has no interest in anything intellectual. There's another huge percentage that can get by with one computer because they are so expensive. And as far as "replacement" PC's go, you're making the assumption that performance of PCs will continue to increase at the rate it has in the past, while prices continue to drop. I have doubts this will continue at such a fast pace for many more years.

I'm not sure what a "traditional PE strategy" is, but so many people claim that historical methods of evaluating a company won't work anymore. Regardless of where you think the earnings will come from, the stock price will always be a result of people's perception of future earnings.
