Ken I really don't have much time this morning, I'll try my best. The quote above, I believe is from Mark Twain.
If you read the words carefully it means exactly what it says.
Let me explain with a real event. Few years' back a friend from Europe had $15,000.00 to invest. He could not speak and read a word of English, didn't know anything about stocks, financial, EPS, ratio, and so on. But he knew few major companies only by names. AT&T, MCI, and few electrical utilities. He took his $15,000.00 to a local broker, and bought few hundred shares of each company.
As the years went by, the guy never looked at one company report, or financial. To date, he only looks at the amount of his dividend checks. The same stocks are worth over $150,000.00. The meaning of the " quote" is exactly in the words.
You can be ignorant... about anything, business or whatever. But if you have confidence in yourself, I believe anyone can achieve success.
