Short answer:

Digital Wireless Cable in the M-band has almost the same channel capacity as DBS. In fact, the service should very closely resemble DirectTV and Echostar.

Digital Wireless Cable modulates carriers on the M-band (2.0 gHz), traditionally known as MMDS. Signal strength is good enough that only a 12" dish is needed (compared to 18" for the current DBS systems such as Echostar, DirectTV, and NewsCorp/MCI).

MMDS service has 33 potential channels, each of which can carry 27 mbit/sec of video and audio data.
