I've always wondered about that cap gains question. At some point it does pay to keep it, although its prudent to calculate the price it would breakeven at if you did and keep a TA eye on that possibility (with any stock). Personally I trade stocks so most everything is at the current rate.

The oil stocks have been interesting me lately, I'm wondering if La Nina will deplete inventories and prime the pump so to speak. If so then these current lows in stocks like EVI DO HAL CHV RIG MDCO MIND are bargains.

A stock EGHT has taken a real beating but has maintained its focus on leveraging its semi conductor business into new areas that seem quite promissing. Bought some shares this morning, although earnings may create a slightly better opportunity in a few days... either way I think its a 30% gainer by late Sept time frame.
