REPS

bw, I'm not sure about this one. Reported last Friday to be bought out at $7.25/share causing the gap up. REPS P/E of 62 way overvalued. Earnings to be reported 8/6 - the scary thing is that they have blown away the EPS estimate (apparently only one analyst tracks this stock) by the tune of 1000% in 3/98 and 110% in 12/97. Zack's rates it a hold. Agreed that this is a crummy sector - I had earlier been shorting ZEUS. Overall, I guess at $6 3/4 there is limited downside opportunity - probably better shorts out there. Normally, a brokerage firm won't let you enter a short if the price is below $5 (no longer marginable) but there is no requirement to cover if a shorted security drops below $5.

The tone of the market seems very bad to me. I have sold all my long positions in my trading account and am 100% short. I hope to have some short candidates posted later today.
