Pam, Here's a recent e.mail message from a STNX field partner referring to her feelings about the STNX lease. I'd venture to say that more than a few FP are feeling this way. Signing up for 59.00 is easy, committing to a four year lease is another thing.

Hi Lynndal,
It's me....Get my fax ok last night? What do you think? Looks like this
and Life Plus MAY be the only 2 I'll be doing.
We received our lease agreement from StarTronix today....and I'm not sure
I'll be continuing. I'm going to have my attorney kind of look over it and
give me an opinion.....but the way I read this agreement, I'd have to have
a screw loose to sign it. It is definately not worded well at all for MY
protection.
Basically it says I'm signing a 4 yr lease (and it can't be canceled)....I
have to keep the unit at MY house at all times, I have to purchase
insurance on it with the policay naming the lease company as who to pay, I
have to pay the lease even IF the machine is NOT working as they don't make
any claims it will work, and they can change the price.....
Beings I've never seen the machine, and the lease says there's no
guarantee it will work.....I'm not so sure I'm going to do this.
I'll let you know more when I have this checked out.
