So you think Gateway management is dumb in believing that people will pay high rates of interest.

So why do you think that millions of American's carry many billions worth of credit card debt all the time? I don't encourage this, but it is nonetheless a fact.

People buy when they feel they can afford the monthly payment, the interest rate is somewhat less important. Gateway's only risk in this endeavor is to manage the potential bad debt risk.

So if you think that people won't pay high rates of consumer interest, you're the one dumb to the American way of life these days.
