HP spokesman bullish on Dell!
from MSN....
"It's a war of attrition now, an H-P spokesman said. In another year or so, there's going to be three companies left, by the looks of things, that are going to have better than 50% of the market. ___________________________________
Let's see, 1 year from now, and the top 3 have over 50% of the market.....let's say 55%
Top three (1 year from now)
Dell 22.5% CPQ 22.5% HP 10.0%
All Others 45.0%
Last quarter, approximately 8 million PC units sold in the U.S. Assuming a 15% annual growth rate for the U.S. market over the next year, that puts 2nd Quarter, 1999 total U.S. PC unit sales at 9.2 million....
So, 9.2 million * .225 =2.07 million units (to be sold by Dell, 2Q'99)
As far as growth rate,..... (2.07-1.15)/1.15 (2nd quarter '98)=
80% annual growth rate in units for Dell in the next year! (US Market only).....and Europe should outpace U.S. growth (for Dell) over the next year!
Not bad, eh? |
