I saw the cowpie trick on Hollywood Knights...great flick.

I prefer the piece of Saran Wrap stretched over the toilet bowl (and place the lid down)...so when your unsuspecting victim goes for numbers 1 or 2...you either have backsplash or a dookie perched on the wrap. Works best when no wrinkles are involved.

I used to place those little throw caps -- the ones that POP when you slam them on the ground -- under the lid of the bowl so when an unsuspecting victim sits down, you get a nice surpise. Use this one right before bedtime so the morning starts with a BANG for your victim. (my own little gem)

Another favorite (I was an evil child): if your kitchen sink has on of those hosed spray attachments for doing dishes...simply rubber band the lever and ask someone to get you a glass of water. When they go to turn on the water...they get the spray all over them.

Ahh...memories.
