The last thing that can be said for Wall Street is "No news is good news" The daily expectations game is a tough one to get wrapped up in. When the herd is heading for the doors, a lot of the fund managers feel required to sell and lock in any profits to date (G* has had some good profits over a year or two, an eternity to some of these funds/individuals). The unrelenting pressure to match the indexes does not give much room for the wait and see methodology. Add to that the implied need to be aware of the 'story' stocks (a fund manager just has to be able to say he saw that one coming, whether be it on the up side or the down side.)Throw in discount brokerages that are advertising one price per day - unlimited trades and things are going to get worse. But dont stop there, once everyone gets up to speed with CDMA (Qualcom) data transmitting capabilities from our G* phones, we will have another exponential increase in the available volatility. People will install buy/sell programs to be run from their cell phones which will autonomously interacting with broadcasted market conditions! The big houses and their computer programs will have nothing on us little guys. Me, I cant stand all the action. I'll look around and pick one or two areas I can understand. Sure I would like to own a Yahoo from IPO but I will pass on it on order not to get a Cendant or Iomega.

The only depressing thing for me is that I am maxed out and can not buy anymore. I loved G* 's prospects at $35 how can I not like it at 23? Nothing has changed for the company. Save the closing prices from today. Put them away and some time in March take them out. Today have a beer, in March have some champagne!
