You are very close, sir! Answers to #1 and #2 are correct, and #3 makes much sense.

However, Joe Sewell, who went on to become an Indians great, was actually acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans a few weeks after the beaning death. Sewell's acquisition became necessary when Chapman's pinch-runner couldn't deliver at the plate and also pulled a hamstring (not on the pinch run!), putting him out of action. The pinch runner was Harry Lunte.
