>>> Philip, it's obvious your have no understanding of how the real world works. If my statements are ridiculous, why is MSFT before the Senate committee for suposed unfair business practices ??? Why have 20 states files a class action suit against them for unfair business practices ??? No need to answer, I already know what you will say.<<<

Well, you're right. Providing a flippant commment such as "it's called competition" doesn't fly very high in a Senate committee. What amazes me about MSFT is that they have won some close ones lately and instead of taking some time to rest the troops so to speak they continue to hammer away at a sensitive area. I am all for the free market thinking but I am also in agreement on anti-trust measures. MSFT is coming awfully close to the edge. You see should they continue to use their operating system for things other than the actual operation of the computer they will be risking a break up which I believe wouldn't bother them a bit. In using their operating system in this fashion they are entering dangerously close to a horizontal marketing platform in which they control the means of accessing data. I don't think that the JD is going to allow them to continue to piggy back programs off their operating system in the name of competition. All the arguments in favor may be right but since when has Congress been right about anything?
