Of course, the value of the database is significantly less post-Y2K than it is today. There will be a few laggards who will be able to use it to try and understand why their process control system is misbehaving, but it won't go more than a couple months into 2000.

I'm already on record as saying that the bold play is to place the database in the public domain via a web site and act as the "portal" for Y2K knowledge on the plant floor, peppered with ads and case studies on how TAVA can (selectively, of course) help out those manufacturers in crisis mode.

I don't share the skepticism about TAVA's business base falling off orders of magnitude after the Y2K work fades, but it is realistic to assume that the skills mix will need to be readjusted and that the margins will probably not be as extreme.

FWIW, I think the recent downward readjustment in the price is undeserved and does not reflect at all on what the performance of the company will be over the next 18-24 months. I guess it is simply "paying the piper" for the 900% returns awarded to early investors...

The moment of truth, for me, will be this quarter's results. I don't give a rat's ass about waiting another quarter...the time is now, and the earnings estimates are very conservative and extremely beatable. I will be seriously distressed in the management team if they can't beat these numbers. FWIW, I have acquired some more shares.
