D&G,

>>Philip, it's obvious your have no understanding of how the real world works. If my statements are ridiculous, why is MSFT before the Senate committee for suposed unfair business practices ??? Why have 20 states files a class action suit against them for unfair business practices ??? No need to answer, I already know what you will say. DJF<<

My, my....resorting to personal attacks?....I guess my criticism must have struck a raw nerve. So I have no understanding of the real world?....and I guess MSFT by your account, controls the internet?...puleeez... Who needs to get real?

Unfair business practices?....like providing more functionality within an operating system? Imagine that!....improving a consumer product is against the law!!!

Oh, and I'll bet when MSFT decided to offer IE for free, that was the last straw, right? Belatedly, Netscape discovered that it had to do the same thing. Isn't competition great?

Senate committees are inherently political (aka Senator Orin Hatch from Utah, and oh, by the way, home of Novell and Corel). MSFT's problem is that it is too successful. The king on the hill is always an easy target....by those at the bottom.

DOJ is infiltrated by Marxists (Clintons, Janet Reno, et al). MSFT is successful and they hate it. Their mission is to prove that market competition is no match for government dictate.

Why have 20 states filed class action lawsuits against MSFT? For the same reason they sue tobacco companies: it's a money grab and they want to hop on the gravy train. They couldn't care less about the consumer.

Show me a company that complains about MSFT business practices, and I'll show you a company that refuses to compete. Where are all those OS's to compete with Windows? I guess that's MSFT's fault too, right?

Philip
