Nightwriter. Re: CPQ as portal company. I agree. It wouldn't be hard to do. Did you see the article in the Sunday NY Times on PC manufacturing? It clearly showed that it will be increasingly difficult for PC manufacturers to differentiate themselves.

Altavista is a plus for CPQ, as is service.

PS Have not seen the commercial you mention. But the one's I've seen list an 800# for direct sales. A step in the right direction.
