If I look at the past I see very solid revenue growth indicating steady progress of Genzyme as a company and a wildly fluctuating stock price that does not seem to have any relation to the progress of the company. I think a major problem is that there was an absurd rally in biotech stocks in 1991/1992 which brought many biotech stocks to unsustainable levels even if there was no or only a tiny profit in sight at that time.
