Well, any sane CEO would grant you a new battery after the letter. The point is to get proper service without wasting your time writing letters or calling headquarters. Service managers are trained professionals and they should handle such problems to the customer's satisfaction.

I had a similar situation with Penske Auto service. I took my new Cobra-R rims and new Yokohama A032R tires for installation and they scratched the living !@#$%^ out of all the rims. DEEP scratches, totally unprofessional job I was shocked when I went back from work to pick them up. The service manager absolutely refused to do anything, but after speaking to headquarters I was referred to their insurance company who compensated me for 80% of the value of the rims.
