well i was taken advantage of with respect to cks but if you care to look back on the cks i issued a sell on cks when it was trading around 9.50 when i got some intimations that all was not totally kosher with the geology though that was not from the company but from someone i talked to from time to time who told me he had a geologist friend who had some doubts though nothing specific. ,that happened to be before the time limit of my pp shares ,so if i had been smart i would have kept quiet since i did not get a chance to sell until around the 3.50 to 1 .00 $ level.however i think in retrospect i was niave when offered the pp shares , .
i dont think that there is any doubt who are the real villains in these cases and im sure that there are many more on si that i am not aware of are the true insiders and promoters and they have conscripted people to promote their stock on si and the internet .i have no idea whether the people promoting epic on here were niave or taken advantage of or were part of the insider group,i never attended nor met any of the insiders since replaced at cks ,this is of course in contrast with epic ,all of those promoting epic until the last couple of weeks have been relentlessly optimistic( clk has however become pessimistic in the last couple of weeks however ), just go back and read the notes right after the company annual meeting and youll see what i mean.anyway i just hope that a few lurkers listened to my warnings and got out early ,i really had no specific info but just suspicions which have all materialized,there are obviously some people on this bb who know a great deal more about whats going on with epic than me.
anyway i am still left with some clunkers to unload,just saw a similar discussion on silverstone and all the pezim companies ,i owned and lost a good bit on silverstone ,bought on the advice of someone who i thought had got good knowledge and who is still posting on these bbs on another topic though i dont think there are many people listening to the hypsters anymore, i think epic kept going longer than most because it was a gas stock with a cute touch coal gas and people wanted to believe in something when gold turned to s---,epic and safari have i think been very astutely marketed on si and some i think have made alot of money , i have no idea whome.anyway unless the new management can get something going epic is dead , i cant see it because they have no money.at least it looks as though tusk has a mine and if the price of gold and silver ever goes up maybe it will revisit its old highs who knows.i have personally descided not to buy any more vse stocks and am just awaiting to unload my mink,demand, international silver ridge .will hold my tse specs including canarc,pangea,metallica and sundust ,though will probably be old and grey before they amount to anything .
anyway i have siad enough about epic,personally i hope the new management if they get controle can resusitate the company ,i have enjoyed participating on various forums on si and prodigy over the last few years but doubt if i will say much more,i would have been much smarter three years ago if i had put the money i put nto the small mining market into the vanguard index 500 fund fund ,i would have a lot more money and less aggravation but not as many ups and downs .who knows what will happen over the next three yeasr to the markets but i personally cant see the vse recovering for a long time but who knows .arh |
