Metastock 6.5 is a powerful analysis tool for end-of-day data.
It allows you to program custom indicators, and comes with a long list of useful indicators. It provides experts (canned and custom) to highlight charts, exploration scanning of stock data, and system test capabilities for a single stock at a time. It uses the Windows metaphor nicely (right click everything to see what you can do with it). It is a good product. For building and testing EOD trading systems MSWIN is a good choice (unless you have very specialized programming needs for those systems).

Tradestation has a more sophisticated programming language than MSWIN, and supports Real Time analysis (as I understand... I do not own it).

Try to define clearly in your own mind what you want a package to do for you - then you'll be better able to assess if one package or another better suits those needs. (WOW, Technifilter Plus are other EOD packages you might explore - they have other threads on SI where people will gladly answer your questions).
