I've been using Web Street Securities for several months now. I can relate to what people are saying - both positive and negative.

On the positive side, the folks at Web Street have been very customer oriented and courteous. I've been satisfied so far with my trade executions. And zero commission on trades of 1,000 shares or more for a stock > $ 2.00 can't be beat.

The problem I've had, and it's a big one for me, is that there are many times that I find my account balance to be incorrect. Usually, the explanation is that they are performing housekeeping on the computer system. Other times, a liability is shown because I'm told it will be several days before an execution is posted from I stock that I just sold in order to buy another.

I'm waiting for the new computer system that hopefully will resolve these problems. I'll give them a few more months. They really need to address these concerns soon. It's difficult to trade if you're not sure what your balance is.
