Jim - You are not an investor but a speculator (and short term trader)....I believe you could have said the same thing with Warren Buffets purchase of Well Fargo several years back. As I stated in my previous post, value investors are accumulating Novell at these levels, not momentum players. The recent ralley in the Techs stocks reflect momentum player money which will not typically stay in their recent purchases for the three to five year period.

I bet your average holding period on a stock is days or month's not years. The solid returns (for investors) are made with good fundamental companies that are held for the three to five year period.

You can make money with both investment styles. Novell is a company for an investor that has a longer time horizon.

For market action may I suggest IOM, AOL, VLSI (over valued based on recent 1997 earnings estimates IMO) or even Las Vegas.
