I was looking at past predicitons that this fellow has made who put out the newsletter I quoted. He's made some blunders, but I think he has a higher chance of being right on this one. I haven't shorted AOL or bought puts, though it has been tempting. There are a number of things I don't understand about AOL which I need to before making such a decision: 1) how important advertising revenues are and how AOL is competitive in attracting these dollars. 2) What real infrastructure AOL has and how much is this an advantage. If you have any insight into these issues please post. It's only natural that people wind up on opposite sides of the fence on these things. Sometimes I get a little flippant. I will try to just post more accurate information or keep quiet if I don't know anything. I often have to read through a lot of jibberish here on SI before I see anything useful myself. I hope that I have not offended you too deeply with my first post.
