EA was a perfect broken stock to short, Carl: here were its hallmarks: * perennially unprofitable * small player in a highly competitive mfg. industry * a higher PSR than its profitable competitors * it had just lost its biggest customer * it was financed with truckloads of discounted convertibles * top mgmt. turnover I covered in the 3's after talking to the CFO, who told me he was sure they were going to have a business upturn. The latest news, though, indicates that business hasn't improved as they were expecting. I really ought to quit talking to co. executives when making my decisions about when to cover.
