Pigboy,

Yes, a connectivity device of some sort is certainly a key. I would still like to see something with some Fast Ethernet ports, so guys like me could start building our own SANs, without having to migrate to Gigabit Ethernet first. The increased distance and device connectivity of Fibre Channel are pretty compelling reasons to look at SANs. (Unfortunately, a hub would probably be sufficient for what I want to do.)

There was one statement in the press release that gives me hope. If most of the business has yet to be awarded, Ancor has a fighting chance. If the MKII can do EVERYTHING that customers need it to do, Ancor is going to get some business. I don't think Ancor can afford to play catch up. They have to get it done quickly. I hope that management realizes this, and acts accordingly.

Craig
