Hello Jeff, I have no idea why EIDSY is still trading at such low levels. Perhaps we will wait until X-mas before this stock continues to rally. However, I still remain long on this stock and you won't find me at the sell side at these low levels. Remember a year ago EIDSY was trading at roughly the same level (the daily turnover was only 400 shares on some days) and no one was interested in the fact that EIDSY had TR2 in development which was the best selling game ever. The situation today is similar, here in Germany EIDSY has 5 !!! games in the top twenty PC sales charts (Final Fantasy VII (1), Commandos (3), Deathtrap Dungeon (6), TR Gold (10) and of course TR II (which is still at place 17). Add to this the official strategy books for FF VII, Commandos and Deathtrap Dungeon and you'll get a nice revenue stream from EIDSY. I must also mention EIDSYs soccer game "World League Soccer" which does well in the UK and the relaunch of it's flight sim "Joint Strike Fighter" at a budget price, which has also strong sales indicated. No other developer has so many high quality products at the market right now.
Regarding your post of game developers leaving their old employer, you mentioned John Romero from id-Soft (now Ion Strom, published by EIDSY), Warren Spector from Origin (Looking Glass, published by EIDSY) and Peter Molyneux from Bullfrog (which has no publisher for it's new firm Lion Head yet, but given the fact that Molyneux and EIDSY chairman Ian Livingstone are buddies and Livingstone close friend and former business partner Steve Jackson is the No. 2 in Lion Head, I'm convinced that EIDSY will also be the publisher of this innovative company). So, you see EIDSY has accumulated a lot of know how from outside companies under it's label.
Greetings, Kai |
