Geographics, Inc. Names New President and CEO
BLAINE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 27, 1998--GEOGRAPHICS, INC. (OTCBB: GGIT - news; TSE: GGI - news) announced today that Richard C. Gockelman was appointed Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Ronald S. Deans, the company founder, will become Chairman Emeritus. Mr. Deans together with Richard Gockelman will represent a new Executive Committee of the company.
Mr. Gockelman has previously held management positions with International Paper and the former Kendall Company subsidiary of Colgate-Palmolive, in a variety of domestic and international assignments.
GEOGRAPHICS, INC. is a manufacturer of value added and designer stationery paper and distributes its products in the U.S., Canada, Australia and Europe. Geographics, Inc. maintains its headquarters and principal production/warehousing facilities in Whatcom County, Washington. The Company also maintains warehouse/distribution facilities at its two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Geographics (Europe) LTD. with a facility near London, England, and Geographics Australia Pty. LTD with a facility near Sydney, Australia.
