DOJ widens Microsoft probe www5.zdnet.com In addition, they want to know whether Microsoft attempted to snuff out competition posed by the Java programming environment. Last autumn, Sun Microsystems Inc. filed a breach-of-contract lawsuit against the software maker in connection with Java. In its lawsuit, Sun charged that Microsoft was attempting to balkanize the Java standard into different versions. --- This could help Suns case if the DOJ comes up with anything. I definitely think MS is trying to snuff it out but can the DOJ kick some butt. JMHO Mike
