Okay, here we go again!

I planned to buy some Aug 25 and 30 puts this morning to hedge my long position but apparently it is too late. It opened 60 cents above the 100 DMA so I am not going to do anything, at least for now.

Notice that there is no immediate threat of dilution here, this is no private placement or public offering, this is convertible note! Good because it has no earning dilution instantly but bad it will show a debt in the beautiful balance sheet for the next couple years. If THQ can easily find buyers for its convertible note, this is a good sign because people are confident that the note will be valuable in the long run.

I don't know whether the money will be partially used for MPRS. MPRS has immediate need of financing but it will take some time to process the note and only if there are enough interest in the market. I think Sigmund may be right that some of the money may go to JAKKS (THQ's WWF partner). Anyway, the market action today give a unconfident vote for THQ management (funny, the market seems to more confident with internet companies while punishing great company like THQI who has great track records). Good things is there are lots of buying at this level (short covering? buying opportunity?). Hopefully we will hear some positive comments from the "smart" institutions.

Todd, I know you are not L.R. but perhaps Taurus Investment should consider promote the stock a bit in the newswire. I am tired with the traditional post-earning sell off :o(

PS: 50 DMA is right at $29, can we close above it today?
