Company Press Release

Ubarter.com Signs Agreement With Yahoo! and GoTo.com

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 28, 1998--Ubarter.com's parent company, International Barter Corp. (IBC)(OTC:IBCX - news) has negotiated an agreement with the Internet portal Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO - news) and search engine GoTo.com.

The agreement gives IBC the exclusive banner ad for the keyword, ''barter'' in addition to strategically placed banner ads.

The company has now secured the same arrangement with all the top portals and search engine providers including Excite, Netscape Netcenter, Webcrawler, Lycos, Infoseek, Alta Vista, Look Smart and Northern Light.

The agreements ensure that each time an individual searches the Internet via one of the above engines or portals and enters the keyword barter, the banner ad and hyperlink for IBC's newly launched web-site, www.Ubarter.com will appear on the screen. Ubarter.com is the first on-line site to promote the concept of ''barter'' for the general Internet user and is a new venue in Internet commerce where users can barter products and services on the web as opposed to using cash to conduct transactions.

Steven White, President and CEO of IBC, states ''Signing the agreements with Yahoo! and GoTo.com signifies another link in securing our marketing strategy via Internet portals and search engines. We now control the vast majority of the keyword inventory for barter on the Internet. We are aggressively and continuously exploring ways to dominate areas where the public accesses barter. Controlling the keyword inventory is yet another way to direct the attention of our target audience.''

IBC will begin its advertising with Internet properties DoubleClick (NASDAQ:DCLK - news) and Travelocity on August 15. The company intends to continue on its aggressive advertising campaign including the nationwide radio syndicator NBG Radio Network (OTC:NSBD - news). White adds, ''We are working around the clock to enhance our web-site to exceed our business clients' expectations which fulfills half of our purpose on the web. Reaching potential clients and putting our service into the hands of the consumer fulfills the other half. That is what this advertising program is all about, creating name recognition and a brand name for Ubarter.com. Needless to say, we are very pleased.''
