Did anyone hear the CC? I got in late. Evidently there was some discussion of the Delco-Remy contract, about which I would like to hear more.

What I gleaned:

(1) RIBS-medical to ship early 1999; RIBS-food to ship late 1999. I guess those are "readiness dates," not orders, but I don't know. They are "confident" of these machines' technical performance.

(2) Their 200mm mag-lev semiconductor tool sales were to a big, recognizable name. (PRIA next door in Billerica?)

(3) Have received add'l orders for their rooftop AC units from United Technologies. These machines also "work well."

(4) They are looking at $.50 per alternator under the D-R contract. D-R apparently has 100% of the truck alternator market and will also try to sell SATC's trick alternator to the auto market. SATC prefers to be in a royalty-only situation on the alternators because they can't manufacture truly significant quantities themselves. The figure of 5MM units was mentioned, but I don't know how that applies.

(5) And, of course, they will make a profit for perhaps only the second quarter in their existence. BTW, I think he said that SATC has gotten to the point where commercial revenues outweigh gov't contracts and R&D $$.

Anyway, I'm back in small at 5 7/8.
