INPR would be a good buy for IBM. IBM were somewhat slow to wake up to the PC market and then the NC market, and probably need some leading edge software technology...upstart companies like MSFT, INTC <g> moved into the new markets...

Other possible buyers might be ORCL or SUNW due to the Java component.

Maybe Motorola might be interested...can't JAVA be used for mobile telecommunications? Maybe Rod knows.

In a takeover situation INPR would be worth about $15 per share. Merryl Lynch is in at about $12 and would want to make a profit.

The possibility of a buyout is a reason to stay in...the buyout price is much more than the current share price.
