The following is a 12/2/96 article from Electronic Buyers' News: LG To Build CDMA Assembly Plant In China By Jack Robertson LG Electronics Inc. of South Korea will jump into the booming China market for Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) wireless handheld phones when it builds an assembly plant in Beijing next year.
