re:<< Here's a few things they could do to Microsoft>>

Don't forget,

10. 'Kick Bill in the Butt Day'.., since your list is so ridiculous.

The beauty of our laws is they cut both ways. Personally, I'd love
to see some interop standards that are actually enforced. But if
you think they'll only stick msft you're severely deluded.

I like Rob Glaser's synopsis:

exchange2000.com
=-=-=-=====-===
A Microsoft executive for 10 years, Glaser said he thinks he knows the
problem in his former company: lack of restraints on the ferocious
competitiveness of its employees.

Such aggressiveness was understandable, even laudable, when Microsoft
was the David against a Goliath, he said, "but not when you're now the
Goliath."
=-=-====-=

So the DOJ will make a couple minor judgments, msft has to act a bit
more considerate. fine. The next wave will be all the second and third tier
companies being held to the same standard. I look forward to this,
really, though I suspect a lot of Orin's buddies will be prying feet
out of their mouths and doing a lot of back peddling.

long msft, and very entertained by your list -- wondering if you think
Netscape and Novell will be able to live up to similar scrutiny.
