This is what you are trying to ask hypothetical reserves (vs. proved reserves) not "hypothetical bituminous coal". Come on get you terms straight at least.

So now BH will contend that since the coal is only measured every six miles, reserves may actually be 3 miles apart. Nope, wrong. Two reasons - #1 this little line here: The assumption of continuity of a coal bed is supported only by geologic evidence. This can also be read that geologic evidence is used to support the assumption of continuity. and #2. It is expected that proved reserves will be reported by Dunn.

I posted this paper to the thread long before you even heard of MTEI and suggested that everybody read this paper to get familiar with the terminology we are expecting from Dunn. It is posted on the MTEI Info thread. If they report in hypothetical reserves, we will know what they mean. If they report in proved reserves (developed or undeveloped) we will know what they mean. This is the true meaning of DD.
